Highlights: When I was eight years old, I made a childhood mistake that caused my parents serious trouble. I ran away from fear of punishment and hid in the woods for three days. YES! THREE DAYS! Mom wanted me punished… punished severely! Dad did not. She insisted. After several minutes, my father reluctantly agreed. I had never been punished before and thought, “OH NO! This is not part of the deal!” … I started crying for real.

January 30, 2018Highlights: January 29, 2018 Forward Day By Day meditation ask readers what was their first memory. Reading their comments inspired me to write my first memory:
As an adult, I was walking in a park heading to pass between two trees. Within inches of the two trees, Horror appeared before my eyes! I shrieked to a halt inches from a spider on its web of death! The pilot’s view of me flying came instantly to my mind. I was on a happy, carefree flight thru a beautiful forest. I was a dragonfly!

July 7, 2017Highlights: Esteemed psychiatrist Dr. Karl Menninger dissected the criminal justice system and concluded, “Our system of punishment actually INCREASES crime: the most violent crimes are committed by “criminals” on the run, trying to escape justice, to escape punishment.” He stated, “I suspect that all the crimes committed by all the jailed criminals do not equal in total social damage that of the crimes committed against them”.
